The Jonathan Boulter Memorial Lecture
Our colleague and friend
Dr Jonathan Boulter, a promising young immunologist with a particular interest in the bioengineering of high affinity T cell receptors, tragically lost his brave fight with brain cancer in May 2008.
Jon’s pioneering work enabled the targeting of specific peptide-MHC complexes at the cell surface with extremely high specificity and affinity, and provided the platform for a number of keenly anticipated therapeutic interventions.
In order to acknowledge his contributions to biomedical research, the South Wales Immunology Group have created an annual memorial lecture in Jon’s memory. This series will provide a forum for distinguished international speakers to visit Cardiff and present outstanding achievements and scientific advances. It will also give local researchers and students a unique opportunity for stimulating discussions with our invited guests.
The Lecture is open to all with an interest in Immunology.
