The BSI Summer School 2011 will take place 5-8 July 2011 in the beautiful (but haunted!) medieval castle of St Donat’s, Llantwit Major, South Wales.

The overall aim of the Summer School is to facilitate an understanding of the fundamentals of the immune system whereby topics will be divided into themes of 'Killing Bugs', 'Killing Self', and 'Killing Tumours' – one theme for each of the three days of the meeting.
Our hope is that the participants will leave the School with a broad knowledge of what the immune system can do. The intention of the Summer School is also to be thought provoking, therefore lectures and tutorials will be accompanied by debates on more contentious issues in Immunology.
Our Faculty comprises outstanding international experts who all have made seminal contributions to what we know now about the immune system.
"This is what God would have built if he had had the money"
