Why did you choose a career in science?

From an early age, I could see a path in science that led to understanding my world, and creating knowledge that improves the lives of people regardless of who they are or where they come from.

What’s your current research focus?

I am a translational scientist with several interests, one of which is the application of artificial intelligence to accelerate the discovery of new molecules and products that are relevant to a range of inflammatory and infectious diseases.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

Working alongside exceptional colleagues from around the world.

Why is gender equity in science important to you?

Equity is crucial for innovation and progress. Everyone should have equal opportunities to contribute their unique perspectives and talents to creating knowledge that translates into globally relevant outputs. This is the only way that we can develop truly robust scientific solutions.
