The British Society for Immunology and our President, Professor Arne Akbar, have submitted evidence for the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee's report into healthy ageing, which will be presented to the Government for a response.

The BSI supported the online engagement activity ‘I’m a Scientist’ to connect school students across the UK with immunologists. Here, our Public Engagement Manager, Erika Aquino, discusses the benefits of this type of activity, showcases examples of great engagement from our members and shares feedback from the wonderful immunologists who took part.

The BSI will be closed from 13:00 on Thursday 24 December and we will reopen at 09:00 on Monday 4 January.

We are delighted to announce the British Society for Immunology has won 'Individual Member Association of the Year', BSI Chief Executive, Dr Doug Brown, has been named 'Executive Director of the Year' and the Society has also been selected as a finalist for the best physical conference and best member support during COVID-19 in the Association Awards UK 2020.

The BSI is calling on all its members to be positive ambassadors for COVID-19 vaccination by taking part in our new campaign 'Vaccine engagement starts at home'.

We have published our Annual Review for 2019-2020.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our speakers, presenters, chairs, sponsors and delegates who helped to make our first two-day virtual conference a success.

The British Society for Immunology was honoured to welcome Sir Patrick Vallance, the UK Government’s Chief Scientific Advisor, to give a plenary talk at our virtual conference which took place on 1-2 December 2020.

We're delighted to announce the winners of our Spatial Biology grants for immunology and COVID-19 research, co-sponsored with our Corporate Member, NanoString.
