The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh will hold their Online Symposium 'The Public's Health after Covid: science and social justice' on Wednesday 14 April 2021. Fifteen months after COVID-19 arrived in the UK, the College has convened eminent scientists to describe how they experienced and sought to overcome COVID-19 and suggest how to build a better ‘new normal’ and prepare for future pandemics. To protect all participants, this Symposium will be digital: speakers will record their talks remotely in advance and on 14 April they will link with chairs who will monitor questions arriving.
Topics discussed will include COVID-19 epidemiology, political communication and public behaviour, international comparison of policies and outcomes, and public health ethics.
This Symposium is open to all interested in COVID-19, including general and specialist physicians, general practitioners, public health specialists, doctors in training, patients and the public.
An early-bird discount will be available until 17 March 2021.
