The British Society for Immunology is excited to share a new selection of free public engagement resources about the immunology of cancer and immunotherapy.
With our understanding of how the immune system interacts with cancer increasing, and advances in immunotherapies translating into benefits for patients with cancer, we have developed new public-friendly activities to introduce the immunology of cancer and explain how immunotherapies work.
Cancer immunotherapy has emerged as one of the most exciting and promising approaches to treating cancer and it’s vital that we communicate this cutting-edge research and what it means for the public and patients. The aim of these new resources is to provide a starting point for our members and the wider cancer immunology research community to engage with various audiences about their work in an accessible way.
This collection of interactive activities is suitable for children and adults alike and can be used in a variety of settings, such as by researchers at science festivals as well as at schools as a fun educational tool. The resources are free to download and share, and each activity includes detailed instructions and lists of materials you’ll need.
