European Spatial Biology Grant for Immunology & COVID-19 Research

The British Society for Immunology is delighted to co-sponsor two Spatial Biology awards for immunology and COVID-19 Research with our Corporate Member, NanoString, in collaboration with Illumina.

Two grants will be awarded to enable the discovery of spatial biomarkers using the latest Digital Spatial Profiling chemistry. One grant will be awarded to the most impactful proposal in COVID-19 host response research, and one grant will be awarded to the most impactful proposal for immunology research.

Grant applications are open to all immunologists across Europe.


  • COVID-19 Research Award: GeoMx® COVID-19 Immune Response Atlas
  • Immunology Research Award: GeoMx® Whole Transcriptome Atlas (WTA)

Both awards include NGS readout on Illumina's new NextSeq™ 2000 Sequencing System.
