17th EAACI Immunology Winter School 2019

The European Academy of Allergy & Clinical Immunology (EAACI) is pleased to announce that its Immunology Winter School will take place on 24-27 January 2019 in Trysil, Norway.  The goal of EAACI Immunology Winter School is to share and discuss advanced and cutting-edge allergy and asthma related basic and clinical immunological research with 70 selected young scientists in a friendly scientific environment. In addition, there will opportunities to network, relax, and enjoy winter sports in the mountains around Trysil between the morning and afternoon sessions. Invited speakers include:

  • Barbara Bohle, Austria - Clinical and immunological consequences of sublingual immunotherapy with recombinant allergens
  • Andrew S. MacDonald, UK - Dendritic cells and macrophages in promotion and regulation of pulmonary type 2 inflammation
  • Talal Chatila, USA - Regulatory T Cell subversion as a key pathogenic mechanism in allergic disorders
  • Liam O’Mahony, Switzerland - The role of the microbiome in allergy and asthma
  • Jenny Mjösberg, Sweden - Innate lymphoid cells in mucosal inflammation
  • Edward J. Pearce, Germany - Dynamic metabolic reprogramming during macrophage activation
