Are neutrophils important in malaria?

GoToWebinar

This webinar from our Regional & Affinity Group series is brought to you by the BSI Edinburgh Immunology Group. This session will be presented by Dr Aubrey Cunnington and will take place on Thursday 17 September, 14:00-14:45 BST.

Neutrophils are amongst the first leukocytes to respond to malaria parasites in the blood, but their role in protection and pathogenesis remains enigmatic. In this webinar, Dr Aubrey Cunnington will discuss recent evidence showing that neutrophils play important roles in both processes, and more general implications of these findings for other infectious diseases.
