This webinar on the 'clinical science' career pathway is part of the British Society for Immunology's 'Careers in immunology' webinar series. It will take place on Tuesday 30 March from 12:00 to 12:45 BST. It is presented by Dr Alison Whitelegg, a consultant clinical scientist in immunology at University Hospital Southampton.
In this webinar, Dr Whitelegg will discuss her journey from academia into clinical science and describe in detail the process of applying for the NHS Scientist Training Programme, the three-year programme all clinical scientists must undertake in order to work as a registered clinical scientist. She will also talk about the day-to-day realties of the job and will touch on the related role of the biomedical scientist specialising in immunology.
