EIG and WSIG joint symposium 2019

The Edinburgh Immunology Group and West of Scotland Immunology Group, two of the British Society for Immunology's official Regional Groups, invite you to join them on Thursday 7 February 2019 for a joint symposium celebrating the immunological research undertaken at both sites. The event is a full day symposium (10:00-16:10 followed by a networking reception) held in the historic Burgh Halls in Linlithgow, easily accessible by public transport from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. 


Programme

We are pleased to welcome two invited keynote speakers, Professor Andrew MacDonald (The University of Manchester) and Dr Carmen Gerlach (Karolinska Institute, Sweden) in addition to our local speakers Professors Gerry Graham (Glasgow), Kevin Maloy (Glasgow), Sarah Walmsley (Edinburgh) and Rose Zamoyska (Edinburgh). There are a number of opportunities for talks by early career researchers to be selected from oral abstract submissions. In addition, there will be a poster exhibition and prizes for the best PhD and postdoc posters. A draft programme can be found below.

Abstracts

Abstract submission is now open for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts of a maximum of 400 words should be submitted via our Google Docs form

The oral abstract submission deadline is 14 December 2018. The poster abstract submission deadline is 15 January 2019. These dates are subject to change if maximum capacity is reached.
