Hybrid meeting

The ICIS is the world’s largest multidisciplinary organization advancing both fundamental and clinical research specific to the role of cytokines in health and disease. Their 9th Annual Meeting, 'Celtic cytokines sensing and interpreting cytokine & interferon cues', will be a hybrid event combining the physical event at the Cardiff City Hall with a custom Virtual Meeting platform.


A talk organized by the FEBS Junior Sections about working at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, from Dr Roser Vento-Tormo Group Leader on Cellular Genetics at the Sanger.


This is an honoraria for Black speakers and those from other underrepresented ethnicities at University College London. Dr Yassin Elfaki will summarise their journey as a Black immunologist in academia through three different countries, with a particular emphasis on the difficulties faced in obtaining funding.
