The immunology of COVID-19 vaccines: a webinar for healthcare workers

This session is presented by Dr Emma Chambers and Dr Brian Ferguson on the topic 'The immunology of COVID-19 vaccines: a webinar for healthcare workers'.

Speakers: Dr Emma Chambers, Lecturer, Queen Mary University of London and Dr Brian Ferguson, Lecturer, University of Cambridge.

About this webinar: Healthcare workers remain the most trusted voice when it comes to providing advice, answering questions, and addressing concerns about vaccines. This educational, Q&A webinar aims to increase healthcare workers’ confidence in talking to the public about COVID-19 vaccines. By supporting healthcare professionals, we hope to continue our mission to provide evidence-based information on COVID-19 vaccines to those who need or want it.

This webinar is for all healthcare workers who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 vaccines and build their skills in tackling common concerns. This webinar may also be of interest to volunteer vaccinators or healthcare staff who often interact with patients who are going to get vaccinated, such as GP receptionists.

Our speakers introduce the immunology of COVID-19 vaccines, discuss their own experiences of engaging with the public about vaccines and answer questions from the audience on how to listen to and address concerns and have constructive conversations about vaccination.

Please note, the content of this webinar is aimed at a healthcare worker audience.

Due to the high volume of questions during the webinar, we were unable to answer them all. You can find more information and answers to many common questions in our guide to vaccinations for COVID-19.
