BSI committee elections 2021

Elections for positions on the British Society for Immunology committees are now closed.

Two positions were open for elections on BSI Forum, both to start in July 2021:

  • Early Career Representative
  • Wales Representative

The voting period will close on at 17:00 BST on Friday 23 April.

We encourage all eligible BSI members* to vote. Your elected representatives will make numerous decisions on your behalf about the BSI’s priorities and activities, so engaging with the elections genuinely does make a difference. You can find out all the information on how to vote below.

The Congress Committee roles will be selected by the CEO and Congress Secretary. The Treasurer will be appointed uncontested and the successful candidate will be announced along with the voting results on Tuesday 4 May.

To register your votes in this election, all eligible BSI members* received an email on Tuesday 30 March from Civica Election Services, an independent provider who ensure our elections are run to the highest standards. This email contained a personalised security code through which you can find out more about the candidates for each position and register your votes. Please look out for this email. Those who haven't voted by Tuesday 13 April will also receive a follow-up email from Civica Election Services containing their personalised code. If you haven’t received the voting email on Tuesday 30 March, please try the following:

  1. Make sure you've checked the correct inbox - the address used is the one provided for regular BSI membership communications
  2. Check your junk folder and mark takepart@cesvotes.com as safe
  3. If you still can't find the email, contact Richard Cantillon to receive another voting link

The voting period closes at 17:00 BST on Friday 23 April and you can vote anytime until then with the link provided in the email.  If you have colleagues who would like to vote in the upcoming election, but are not yet BSI members, they will still be able to vote if they sign up to become a BSI member* by Tuesday 13 April. If you have any queries, please contact Sarah Green

*Voting is open to all paid categories of membership. Please note, this excludes undergraduate members and low income economy overseas members who do not have to pay a membership fee.
