We are excited to announce that Vaccine Engagement Day 2026 will take place on Wednesday 25 March. This year, we are continuing our #CelebrateVaccines campaign with the tagline “Protect your health and your community,” highlighting the vital role vaccines play in keeping both individuals and society safe.
To mark the occasion, we will be publishing a series of blogs that look at vaccines through the lens of past, present and future. Topics will range from childhood vaccines and shingles protection to the latest MMRV updates, as well as the exciting potential of new technologies like mRNA and cancer vaccines. These posts show how vaccines have shaped our health, continue to protect us today, and could transform medicine in the future.

What is Vaccine Engagement Day?
Vaccine Engagement Day is a British Society for Immunology initiative that highlights the importance of vaccines in protecting public health. It provides an opportunity to explore the science behind immunisation, the impact vaccines have had on society, and how they continue to shape the future of medicine.
This year, the campaign will include blogs, social media posts, and resources designed to help people understand how vaccines work with the immune system to prevent disease, and why they remain one of our greatest health achievements.
