The BSI's new mentoring scheme for 2017 is now open for applications for mentors. If you're a senior scientist, based in the UK with 5 years or more experience as a lecturer or equivalent senior position, we'd like to hear from you!
As part of the scheme, you'll benefit from the opportunity to enhance your skills and attend a free mentoring training session held in Brighton later on in the year.
This is an excellent opportunity for senior scientists to share their knowledge and experiences with early career researchers, assisting the next generation of immunologists with their career development and progression.
The scheme aims to offer immunologists important guidance currently missing in the community. We are hoping for 12-15 mentor and mentee pairs to take part in our pilot scheme, which we hope to grow and develop further in coming years. The only way we can offer this programme is through recruiting BSI members as mentors, who are willing to commit their time and offer insight.
If you're keen to get involved in the scheme, we'd like to hear from you!
Further details on the scheme and how to get involved can be found here.
Applications for mentees to take part in the scheme will open later this summer.
