New BSI Neglected Tropical Diseases Briefing

We’ve published a new briefing for a House of Lords debate on neglected tropical diseases. These diseases affect up to one-sixth of the global population and are a huge public health burden in the developing world. Immunological research is crucial to better understand the complex organisms that cause these diseases, and to develop new treatments for them.

The briefing describes the neglected tropical diseases listed in the 2012 London Declaration aims, the progress to date, and the political and scientific action required to meet the Declaration aims by 2020.
