New BSI Transplant Immunology Briefing

We've published a new briefing on transplant immunology. Transplantation is the process of moving cells, tissues or organs from one site to another and saves thousands of lives in the UK each year. Although we have come a long way in our understanding of transplant rejection, further research on the immunological mechanisms of rejection is ongoing and needed to help improve outcomes.

The briefing describes our current understanding of transplant rejection, how we currently work to prevent rejection, treatments for rejection and obstacles that immunological research is working to overcome.
