Upcoming BSI committee vacancies

In the new year, the British Society for Immunology will be advertising a number of vacancies on our Board of Trustees and Forum committee. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved in the work of the Society and make a real difference to immunology in the UK.  We are looking for committee members from all backgrounds and career grades and are very keen to encourage nominations from across the spectrum of our membership.  For most positions, you don't need to have previous experience of sitting on a committee, but you do need lots of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved to help formulate our activities and policies.

The positions available are:

  • Trustees
    • President
    • Chair of Forum
    • General Trustee
    • Early Career Trustees (2 vacancies)
  • Secretary (non-Trustee)
    • Public Engagement Secretary
  • Forum (non-Trustees)
    • From Summer 2018
      • Clinical Representative
      • Regional Representative England
      • Veterinary Representative
    • From January 2019
      • Regional Representative Scotland
      • Early Careers Representative
      • Clinical Representative

We have set up a specialist portal run by the Electoral Reform Society to ensure that our elections are run to the highest standards. In this portal, you can view more information on the election process along with job descriptions of the positions up for nomination.
