The BSI is taking part in this year’s Lambeth Country Show, a free family festival of live music, food, animal shows and a host of other activities. The festival is held on Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 July and runs from 12 noon until 20:00 both days.
The BSI will be a part of the ‘Biology Big Top’ - a public engagement marquee run by the Royal Society of Biology with activity stands from a range of biology-related societies.
This year, our activities will be focused on allergies and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us deliver our engagement activities. Lunch allowances will be provided for each day and travel expenses will be reimbursed. Preferences will be given to volunteers travelling from within Greater London and you can choose whether to volunteer for one or both days. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical hands-on public engagement experience.
If you would like to get involved, or for more information, please email BSI Public Engagement Officer, Eleanor Sherwood.
