Imperial Science Festival

Crafts from the Imperial Science FestivalResearchers at Imperial College London, led by Gaynor Campbell, ran a stand at the annual Imperial College Science Festival in May called “Snot doctors, bogeys and baddies”, looking at the science of snot.

The stand showcased the amazing work your nose does as the gateway to the airways, with multiple layers of defence. Amongst activities such as peak flow measurements, an antibody craft table and ‘bogey race’, the BSI’s giant nose also made an appearance.  The event saw over 15,000 people over the course of the weekend.
