The British Society for Immunology Congress is our flagship event attracting 1,500+ immunologists from around the world. It is held two out of every three years, taking a break in the year that the European Congress of Immunology is held.

BSI Congress 2022
The BSI Congress 2022 took place from 5 to 8 December in Liverpool, UK. We welcomed over 1,700 attendees both in Liverpool and online – yet another new record for our Congress as a stand-alone event! Our Congress Committee, led by Congress Secretary Prof Mark Coles, brought together a fantastic programme featuring plenary sessions on tropical diseases, immunodeficiency, systems immunology, tissue immunology, immunotherapy and neuroimmunology. BSI Congress 2021
The BSI Congress 2021 took place from 28 November to 1 December in Edinburgh, UK. In total, we welcomed over 1,600 attendees both virtually and in Edinburgh, our biggest-ever Congress as a stand-alone event! Our fantastic Congress Committee, brilliantly led by outgoing Congress Secretary Prof Gary Entrican, brought together an extensive programme that included sessions on immunometabolism, circadian rhythms, immunogenetics, T cell exhaustion, immune microenvironments and COVID-19 immunology. BSI virtual conference
BSI Congress was originally due to take place in 2020 but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was rescheduled for 2021. In its place, we presented our first two-day virtual scientific conference, ‘Connecting immunology in the time of COVID-19’, which took place on 1–2 December 2020. The scientific committee put together an inspiring programme that included sessions on cancer immunology, immunotherapy, vaccinology, infection challenge models and COVID-19 immunology. In total, we welcomed over 780 attendees and connected with people from 31 different countries! All abstracts from the conference are still available to read on the conference website.
BSI Congress 2019
The 2019 British Society for Immunology Congress took place in Liverpool on 2–5 December 2019. A special thank you to all our speakers, presenters, chairs, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates who helped to make the Congress a success. Thank you as well to our wonderful Congress Committee, and in particular our Congress Secretary, Gary Entrican, for all their hard work in lining up a brilliant programme of sessions and speakers. This year we welcomed over 1,400 attendees – another new record for our Congress.

The 2017 BSI Congress took place in Brighton on 4–7 December. We'd like to say a huge thank you to all our speakers, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors and delegates who helped to make the Congress a success. Thank you too to our wonderful Congress Committee, and in particular our outgoing Congress Secretary, Prof Leonie Taams, for all her hard work and dedication in bringing together such an excellent lineup of sessions and speakers. BSI Congress 2016
The BSI/NVVI Annual Congress 2016 was held jointly with the Dutch Society of Immunology. We would like to thank the Congress organising commitees, led by Prof Leonie Taams and Dr Janneke Samsom, and all the speakers, chairs and exhibitors who helped to make the event such a success.
