BSI Congress 2021

The BSI Congress 2021 took place from 28 November to 1 December in Edinburgh, UK. In total, we welcomed over 1,600 attendees both virtually and in Edinburgh, our biggest-ever Congress as a stand-alone event! Our fantastic Congress Committee, brilliantly led by outgoing Congress Secretary Prof Gary Entrican, brought together an extensive programme that included sessions on immunometabolism, circadian rhythms, immunogenetics, T cell exhaustion, immune microenvironments and COVID-19 immunology. Read more about our highlights from BSI Congress 2021 here. All abstracts from the conference are still available to read on the conference website.

BSI virtual conference

BSI Congress was originally due to take place in 2020 but, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was rescheduled for 2021. In its place, we presented our first two-day virtual scientific conference, ‘Connecting immunology in the time of COVID-19’, which took place on 1–2 December 2020. The scientific committee put together an inspiring programme that included sessions on cancer immunology, immunotherapy, vaccinology, infection challenge models and COVID-19 immunology. In total, we welcomed over 780 attendees and connected with people from 31 different countries! All abstracts from the conference are still available to read on the conference website.
