The British Society for Immunology is pleased to convene a one-day cross-sector expert meeting on cancer immunotherapy research and development to identify key routes and enablers for driving forward translational and clinical research that will translate into improved patient outcomes within the next decade. This meeting is taking place on Monday 14 April 2025 at the Royal Society in London

Over recent years, the UK has significantly increased its reputation in cancer immunotherapies research and translation with key investments from industry and from across government. With still more potential to be realised within cancer immunotherapies, now is the right time to drive the discussion to allow the UK to capitalise on current success by catalysing novel cross-sector ideas that can bring innovation and new partnerships to research and development, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.

The invitation only meeting will bring together leaders in cancer immunotherapy, including representation from industry, academia, clinical academics, clinicians, government departments and research funders, third sector and patient charities.

Programme

A final programme will be posted shortly. The event will have several interactive sessions on cancer immunotherapy research, translating research into clinical application and getting treatments to patients, including keynote talks, and panel and roundtable discussions. The overall programme will be chaired by Professor Colin Dayan, the BSI’s Clinical Research Secretary and Professor at Cardiff University School of Medicine.
