BSI Immunology Nursing Excellence Programme

Nurse Making Rounds does Checkup on Elderly Patient Resting in Bed

The BSI Clinical Immunology Professional Network (BSI-CIPN) are excited to offer our new training programme tailored for UK immunology nurses. Mapped against the BSI-CIPN Competency Framework for Immunology Nursing, this programme supports the professional development of immunology nurses working in both adult and paediatric immunology nursing, and practicing nurses with an interest in specialising in immunology.

Until now, there has been no professional accreditation for nurses working in an immunology setting. With a competency-based approach to learning, certificates of participation in this programme contributes to evidencing nurses’ skills and their expertise in patient care. The BSI Immunology Nursing Excellence Programme focuses on developing expertise in immunology and patient care, following a unique, competency-based approach to align with professional standards.

The BSI Immunology Nursing Excellence Programme is free to attend for any UK-registered nurse working within an immunology service, or with a demonstrable interest in immunology nursing.

By participating, you will gain access to:

Led by senior nurse practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists and clinical immunology professionals, workshops will provide practical applications to enhance your clinical practice.

  • One year of free BSI membership upon enrolment: With BSI membership, you will gain benefit from reduced fees for BSI events, including the BSI-CIPN Conference, and training and will also be eligible to apply for BSI grants and professional support (minimum 12 months of membership required).
  • Membership to the BSI-CIPN:  In addition to membership to the BSI, you will also be given membership to the BSI’s network for clinical immunology professionals. This platform is used to share best practice and guidelines and to foster collaboration, ultimately improving care for patients.
