The BSI West of Scotland Immunology Group (WSIG) showcase is an opportunity to meet with colleagues and hear about some fantastic immunology! The showcase includes the 10th Delphine Parrott memorial talk that celebrates Delphine Parrott, a dedicated immunology researcher and teacher who was the first woman to be a professor at the University of Glasgow. It will take place at the Advanced Research Centre (ARC), room 237C, University of Glasgow, 11 Chapel Ln, Glasgow G11 6EW.

We are delighted to welcome a fantastic line-up of speakers to this year’s event, including:

Dr Nick Jones, Associate Professor at Swansea University whose lab examines human T cell immunometabolism both in health and disease with additional interest in how this is altered in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Professor Judi AllenUniversity of Manchester, who will present this year’s Delphine Parrott memorial lecture. Prof Allen’s research interests span many areas including the immune response to helminths, macrophage responses to type 2 cytokines, wound repair and the immune impact of extracellular matrix.

We are also delighted to have two short talks selected from Early Career Researcher (ECR) submissions. All attendees are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration.

The event will run from 14:00 to 18:30 BST and will offer ample opportunities to network and build connections. Refreshments will be provided!

Please follow @bsicongress and @wsigimmunol on X and @britsocimm.bsky.social on Bluesky for updates. You can also search #BSIWSIG25 to get updates.
