Course description
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly becoming an important part of modern biomedical research. From writing stronger papers and grant applications to interpreting omics datasets and exploring the scientific literature, AI is helping researchers work more efficiently, carry out more thorough analyses and uncover new insights.
Designed for researchers who want to use AI more effectively in their work, this practical one day course is particularly relevant for those working with immunological or omics data. You'll explore the principles behind AI and machine learning before discovering how leading AI tools can be applied throughout the research process.
Using real immunology examples and guided practical exercises, you'll learn how to build your own AI research assistant to support everyday research tasks, while developing the skills to evaluate AI outputs critically, reduce common errors such as AI hallucinations and use AI confidently, responsibly and in line with current research best practice.

The course is delivered by computational immunologists with experience across academia, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry, who understand both the biological questions researchers are trying to answer and the challenges of learning computational skills for the first time.

Specialising in computational biology, AI and systems immuno-hematology, he delivers practical, research focused training designed to help biologists confidently apply computational approaches in their research.
