The Black Women in Science (BWiS) network is a community for women of African and Caribbean heritage at all stages of their scientific careers, providing a safe space to seek support, share advice, and celebrate achievements in STEM.

The BWiS network will be hosting their fourth annual Black History Month event, Celebrating You, supported by the Academy of Medical Sciences on Thursday 23 October at 6:30pm (BST) at 41 Portland Place, London, W1B 1QH. This special evening is dedicated to highlighting and commending the contributions of Black women in science and attendees will have the chance to hear inspiring talks, connect with peers, and join in celebrating the achievements of women across the field.

Celebrating You is designed as a safe and supportive space for Black women in science and science-related fields. The evening will include opportunities to network, socialise, and recognise both your own accomplishments and those of others in the community.

Registration is free, and all who attend can expect an uplifting and empowering experience. The BWiS Network is grateful to the Academy of Medical Sciences for supporting this event and providing a space to make this celebration possible.
