The Global Climate and Health Summit is an event held by The Physiological Society and will place on 16-17 July 2025 at the QEII Centre in London and online (both options are free to attend). The summit is an action-driven conference addressing the urgent intersections of climate change and human health. Bringing together scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, and civil society, this summit focuses on delivering evidence-based, practical solutions in three key areas:
- Heat resilience – Protecting workers and communities from rising temperatures and ensuring sustainable cooling solutions
- Air pollution – Mitigating the growing air quality crisis and its impact on human physiology
- Sustainable nutrition – Advancing climate-friendly diets that improve health while reducing environmental impact
This event, supported by Wellcome, will address the critical intersection of climate change and human health. The programme of workshops, group sessions and keynote speakers will allow you to shape the agenda, build global networks, and turn evidence into impact. With a mix of plenary discussions, the summit fosters multidisciplinary collaboration to align climate action with health resilience.
Speakers include Dr Maria Neira (Director, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Health at the World Health Organization), Dr Diarmid Campbell-Lendrum (Head of Climate and Health at the World Health Organization) and Professor Lea Berrang Ford (Head of the Centre for Climate and Health Security at the UK Health Security Agency).
You can register your interest to attend on The Physiological Society's website.
