VAccine deveLopment for complex Intracellular neglecteD pAThogEns (VALIDATE) will hold its eighth Annual Meeting from Monday 22 to Thursday 25 June 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia. The event brings together researchers working on tuberculosis, leishmaniasis and melioidosis and offers a three day scientific programme featuring talks from international experts, poster sessions, discussions and networking. The meeting is free for all VALIDATE members.
The programme opens on Monday 22 June 2026 with a workshop for early career researchers. This session will focus on practical grant writing skills and how to develop strong research proposals. From Tuesday 23 June onwards, the full Annual Meeting will feature talks from international experts, poster sessions, interactive discussions, networking opportunities, and social events.

The following opportunities are available for this event:
- Travel grants - up to £3,000 is available to support attendees from low and middle income countries to attend the meeting in person
- Poster abstracts - you can submit an abstract to present your work during the poster session
- Research talk abstracts - investigator level participants can submit abstracts for consideration for oral presentations
