Join us at The Francis Crick Institute, at King's Cross on Thursday 24 April to celebrate World Immunology Day 2025.
Hosted by the award winning BBC broadcaster, Claudia Hammond, we are excited to bring to you "The immune system and your brain". This year, the expert scientific panel are going to explain how the immune system connects with the brain and nervous system. They will delve into this exciting and emerging area of science — known as neuroimmunology — and highlight recent breakthroughs by researchers working in the field. They will also explain why scientists are developing new drugs that target the immune system to treat neurological conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease.
This is a free and public event, open to anyone interested in learning more about the brain, the immune system, or the cutting edge of medical research. There will be an in-person audience at the Crick joined by online attendees.
The event is being held jointly by the BSI, The Francis Crick Institute and Nature Portfolio.
