The British Society for Immunology (BSI) is proud to announce our BSI Clinical Immunology Professional Network (BSI-CIPN) Conference 2024 Carers’ Grant for attendance at the BSI-CIPN Conference from Monday 9 to Tuesday 10 December 2024 in Birmingham.
This Carers’ Grant provides members with funding of up to £200 to support them to attend the BSI-CIPN Conference with the aim of contributing towards the additional costs of care while attending the conference. The BSI is committed to inclusion and to making our events accessible to all our members. We recognise that many of our members having caring responsibilities, be it for children, elderly or disabled relatives or friends. As result, they are sometimes prevented from attending our events because there is no provision for the extra costs incurred in paying for the additional care needed while they are away at the meeting.
We also recognise that some members may themselves have a disability and require support/care while attending a large event such as this. If you are already in receipt of funding for support/care, please be aware of whether the BSI grant will affect this. This is your responsibility, and the BSI will not be responsible for any possible loss of funding that you already receive.
The total grant fund available each year for awarding to successful applicants is limited. Applications are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
Value
The maximum amount awarded through this grant scheme is £200.
