The BSI was saddened to learn about the recent death of Professor Avrion Mitchison FRS. He made significant contributions to the field over decades and was a valued colleague and mentor to many in our community. He also played an integral role in the launch of the British Society for Immunology and was one of our founding members. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
We are inviting BSI members, colleagues, and peers to share their stories and recollections of Professor Mitchison. These memories will be compiled into a piece to remember and celebrate his life and legacy.
