The British Society for Immunology are delighted to partner with the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) to celebrate the 2023 FOCIS Annual Meeting with a selection of cutting-edge translational immunology research from Clinical & Experimental Immunology.
Clinical & Experimental Immunology is an official journal of the British Society for Immunology, which works as a member of FOCIS to support international efforts to improve health through immunology by fostering interdisciplinary approaches to both understand and treat immune-based diseases.
We're proud to offer FOCIS 2023 attendees exclusive publishing discounts across our three official journals! Attendees of the meeting are eligible for a 25% APC discount to publish Open Access in Clinical & Experimental Immunology, as well as a 15% APC discount to publish in our fully Open Access journals Immunotherapy Advances and Discovery Immunology.

Review Series: Unconventional T cells in health and disease
We are delighted to present Clinical & Experimental Immunology's latest Review Series, led by Professor Kelly McNagny of University of British Columbia, Canada. This series was born out of the Canadian Society for Immunology (CSI) guest symposium ‘Unconventional T cells in Chronic Disease and as Targets of Therapy’ at the 2022 FOCIS Annual Meeting. These free articles demonstrate the biology and function of these often-overlooked cells, highlighting scenarios where unconventional T cells prove themselves not to be an evolutionary relic on the path to emergence of antigen-specific conventional T cells, but instead a selective advantage in the role they play in survival.
FOCIS 2023 Virtual Issue
Clinical & Experimental Immunology is pleased to share a selection of primary research and review articles that complement the scientific programme of the FOCIS 2023 Annual Meeting. These free papers represent recent advances in fields as diverse as transplantation, immune-engineering, neuroimmunology and allergy.
Clinical & Experimental Immunology seeks to publish the best translational and clinical immunology studies; those which have the potential to transform our understanding of the immunopathology of human disease or change clinical practice. Our articles cover basic and clinical investigations regarding the immunological basis of a wide range of human pathologies, including autoimmunity, inflammatory diseases, primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, complement disorders, allergies, infectious diseases, cancer and transplantation rejection, and we favour studies underpinned by strong mechanistic insight.
We hope you enjoy these articles, and we encourage you to share this with colleagues online using the FOCIS 2023 meeting hashtag #FOCIS2023 and looping in @CEIjournal and @FOCISimmunology.
